The temple is located in Ponneri near Minjur.
In the Kolkatta highways (Grand North Trunk road) beyond the Tollgate at Karanodai., at about 2-3 kms from the Tollgate, is Thachur cross road. Then to turn right towards Ponneri. At about 2-3 kms from Ponneri, need to turn left and to travel for about 5 kms to reach the temple.
The main deity of this temple is 18 feet long Ranganathar made of Salagrama stones ( said to be longer than Srirangam). The temple is more than 1000 years old and also called Uthara Rangam.

- Shree Varadaraja Perumal Temple is located at Minjur . The temple looks old and Lord Varadharaja perumal here is present along with his consort Perundevi thayar like kanchipuram. This temple is also known as “south kanchi”. Brahmotsavam celebrated in the month of May-June and the Garuda Seva is of main attraction in this temple.
- Kari Krishna perumal Thiru Ayarpadi : Thiru Ayarpadi is a small village, located 3 kms from Ponneri andthere is an ancient temple where the deity is called Karikrishna Perumal. Kari Krishna perumal is in a standing posture with a whip in His right hand, Left hand resting on His hip, balancing an Amrita Kalasam on His head. The moolavar in this temple is rest on the ground without any peetam. There is also a separate sannidhi for Soundaryavalli Thayar in this temple. It is believed as a prarthana sthalam where childless couples on worship are blessed with children.
