Sri Varadharaja Perumal Temple, Injimedu

Injimedu is a small village located between Chennai and Polur. It is nearly 33 km from Vandavasi.

The main deities of this temple are Sri Varadharaja perumal and Sri Perundevi thaayar. There is a sanctum for Rama, which is seen with goddess Sita and Lakshmana. A separate sanctum for Lakshminarasimhar is of particular importance. Swathi Homam is being done every month.

It is said that Sri Ramar of this sthalam has found lots of Yagams and Vedams. Sri Ramar is said to be found almost 1500 years back and it is said that Sri Ramar emerged from yagam, so he is called - "Sri Yaga Samrakshana Ramar". Problem in marriage, Puthra Bhagyam, etc., are said to be solved on getting darshan of Sri Yaga Samrakshana Ramar and Hanumar. Sri Ramar and Lakshman’s bow top head is molded with “Narasimhar’s face” (Line face). This is unique in India, no where else the Sri Ramar and Lakshman’s bow top head is with “Line’s face”.

This sthalam is also called as "Yagna vedhikai", as lots of yagnams (Yagams / Homams) are performed in this sthalam for the world peace and for human community.
